Lack of educational facilities is not the only problem facing many of the people in the Gambia, shortage of food is another. In order to help provide a solution to this massive problem we help to develop a garden with every school in order to give each village the chance to be able to grow food for themselves - not an easy task in such an inhospitable climate. Not only do we need to develop the garden, we also must provide basic tools and vegetable seeds to help get it started. The children will learn how to look after the garden, helping the school provide the children with probably their only proper meal each day.
